Statement of Faith

As a church, we believe in…

The Bible

We believe that the Bible is the written word of God- The Bible is the only inspired Word of God. We believe that every Scripture is God- breathed given by his Divine inspiration to mankind and the infallible rule of faith and conduct.

God – Eternal, Creator, Redeemer

We believe that there is only one true God , the Creator of heaven and earth and the Redeemer of mankind. He has revealed Himself as one being in three person (The Trinity)- God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.

The Deity of the our Lord Jesus Christ

We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, the one and only Son of God, was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, and is God’s Anointed One, empowered by the Holy Spirit to inaugurate God’s kingdom on earth. He was crucified for our sins, died, was buried, resurrected, and ascended into heaven, and is now alive today in the presence of God the Father and in His people. He is "true God" and "true man."

The Person and the works of the Holy Spirit

We believe in the Holy Spirit- the Third Person of the Holy Trinity has been sent to be a comforter and guide by God the Father. He dwells with us and is in us through the Baptism of the Spirit. The Holy Spirit enables us to use the nine gifts of the spirit including speaking in tongues.

Salvation

We believe that to receive forgiveness and eternal life we must repent of our sins, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and submit to His will for our lives.

Water Baptism

Baptism in water is a commandment of the Lord Jesus Christ it is for believers only. It is not necessary for salvation, but is an outward sign of an inward work that the Spirit has done in the believer.

The Church

We believe in the power and significance of the Church and the necessity of believers to meet regularly together for fellowship, prayer and the ‘breaking of bread’. The Church exists to carry on the ministry of Jesus Christ and further advance His kingdom by undoing the works of the enemy, preaching, and living the good news of God’s love, and discipling the nations – baptizing and teaching them to love and obey God.

The Further Works of Redemption

We believe that deliverance from sickness is provided for in the atonement and is the privilege of all believers. It is through the various ways of giving (tithe, offering, giving to the poor) that God blesses His children

The Resurrection

We believe in the resurrection of those who have fallen asleep in Christ and their translation, together with those who are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord, is the imminent and blessed hope of the church.

Judgment

There will be a final judgment in which the wicked dead will be raised and judged according to their works. Whosoever is not found written in the Book of Life, together with the devil and his angels, the beast and the false prophet, will be consigned to everlasting punishment in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.

Planning your Visit

A Warm Hello

The following information is specifically for those planning a visit, so that you know, beforehand, what to expect on a Sunday morning.

Where and When

We meet at the Greenhithe Community Centre, DA9 9HH (details here) for our Sunday Service starting at 15:00 - 17:00 pm BST. For your first visit, we recommend arriving 10-15 minutes early to ensure you get a parking space and find somewhere to sit before the service begins. When you arrive, you should be greeted by someone on our Welcome Team who will be wearing a Welcome lanyard.

We serve tea, coffee and biscuits after the service. It is a great way to meet people, or simply take time to find your bearings. All refreshments are free.

Accessibility: There is wheelchair access, and a sound loop for anyone who needs it. Please let one of the Welcome Team know on your arrival and they will help you to get set up. There are disabled toilets in the main foyer.

Our Service

The main service begins at 3pm with a warm welcome from one of our team members. Then follows a time of spirit filled worship, led by our worship team. We typically have 2 or 3 songs lasting approximately 25 minutes. Sometimes a person might pray out loud or read a small passage from the bible. Sometimes people share things that they believe God is saying to the whole church family. This might seem strange the first time you hear it but it’s all part of our connecting with God. We then share news and notices, usually about what’s going on in the life of the church. One of our leaders will then give a sermon that is bible based and that we can apply to our everyday life. After every meeting finishes there will an be opportunity for prayer.

Come and join us and be a part of what God is doing in this place!

What about my kids?

We currently do not have any programs for kids.

Children stay with their parent or grown-up at the start of the service for the welcome, songs and notices. We really value worshipping God all together as a family. We will be providing colouring books and colours for kids during service.
