Please find below an introduction to our church leaders and members of staff.

Kevin-Althea

Pastors Kevin & Althea

Althea's spiritual journey began in Kuwait, where she was raised as a believer and served the Lord in her local church's kids ministry for over 8 years. The Lord then directed both Kevin and Althea to join a church in London, where Althea received a powerful message from God about a move of the Spirit in that church. Shortly after they started attending, an Awakening occurred, transforming their lives. During this time, they experienced daily encounters with the Lord, witnessing signs, wonders, and miracles. Their ministry began in a home group, where they were embraced by a loving Portuguese family. It was in this setting that both Kevin and Althea recognized their calling to ministry. They were ordained as Pastors on 02 Feb 2020 by Bishop John Mills of ECC England. Their church, Ahava, was birthed in 2020 and has members from London, Canada, India, Kuwait, the US, Mauritius, and Dubai. In 2023, they felt called to serve their local community in Swanscombe, South East London, with a vision to spread the gospel to the nations of the world. Their mission is to raise a generation of individuals who may have grown up without fathers, helping them witness and experience the love of the Heavenly Father and come to know Christ. They also have a heart for underprivileged children and are passionate about engaging in missions to support them. Kevin operates with the gift of prophecy, while Althea is a passionate and fiery Bible teacher, dedicated to advancing the Kingdom of God. They strongly believe in the five-fold ministry and the equipping of saints, as well as the healing of the sick. Kevin and Althea's spiritual journey is marked by their deep faith, commitment to ministry, and their desire to impact lives through the power of God's love and grace.

Planning your Visit

A Warm Hello

The following information is specifically for those planning a visit, so that you know, beforehand, what to expect on a Sunday morning.

Where and When

We meet at the Greenhithe Community Centre, DA9 9HH (details here) for our Sunday Service starting at 15:00 - 17:00 pm BST. For your first visit, we recommend arriving 10-15 minutes early to ensure you get a parking space and find somewhere to sit before the service begins. When you arrive, you should be greeted by someone on our Welcome Team who will be wearing a Welcome lanyard.

We serve tea, coffee and biscuits after the service. It is a great way to meet people, or simply take time to find your bearings. All refreshments are free.

Accessibility: There is wheelchair access, and a sound loop for anyone who needs it. Please let one of the Welcome Team know on your arrival and they will help you to get set up. There are disabled toilets in the main foyer.

Our Service

The main service begins at 3pm with a warm welcome from one of our team members. Then follows a time of spirit filled worship, led by our worship team. We typically have 2 or 3 songs lasting approximately 25 minutes. Sometimes a person might pray out loud or read a small passage from the bible. Sometimes people share things that they believe God is saying to the whole church family. This might seem strange the first time you hear it but it’s all part of our connecting with God. We then share news and notices, usually about what’s going on in the life of the church. One of our leaders will then give a sermon that is bible based and that we can apply to our everyday life. After every meeting finishes there will an be opportunity for prayer.

Come and join us and be a part of what God is doing in this place!

What about my kids?

We currently do not have any programs for kids.

Children stay with their parent or grown-up at the start of the service for the welcome, songs and notices. We really value worshipping God all together as a family. We will be providing colouring books and colours for kids during service.
